Our support, guidance and training is designed to provide expert advice and practical, focused solutions in all areas of school and academy development. We have a wealth of experience at leadership level within academies, schools and local authorities and understand the challenges that schools face. This service covers all aspects of aspect support including bespoke school improvement advice, guidance and evaluation. The service is designed to provide the academy with ongoing support, challenge and training.
We have considerable experience of working with schools, academies, local authorities and partners to identify aspirations, educational functionality and requirements in order to develop ICT solutions. With many schools and academies developing their learning platform as a key element of their curriculum design, we are well-placed to provide training and development which supports the learning platform as a tool for transformational learning and teaching. ICT is all about supporting and facilitating learning, providing the greatest benefits for students, teachers and the whole school community.
Our education team has a proven track record of working successfully with schools on a wide range of educational projects. We have worked with schools to support effective change and bring about significant improvement through visioning work, staff engagement and workforce development. We have considerable experience of working with schools and design teams to improve learning environments through rebuilding, refurbishment and refreshment projects. We have the expertise gained through working in schools and local authorities at the highest level to support change and improvement. c2a learning has a depth of experience in curriculum planning, modelling and timetable construction. We treat curriculum modelling and timetabling as an important aspect of school development and improvement rather than a mechanical process. We are responsive to school, local and national agendas and this is reflected in our new service offer of: Curriculum Design and the English Baccalaureate. Familiarisation, collaboration and strong communication are central to our approach ensuring that the final solution reflects the needs of all learners and the priorities of the school.
People resources are our greatest asset and SDI (Strength Deployment Inventory) is an effective tool in improving and strengthening the communication and the personal effectiveness of individuals and teams within organisations. c2a learning is qualified in facilitating the use of SDI, which is used by many organisations in identifying individual and team strengths and dynamics. Based around recognising our personal and professional Motivational Value System (MVS), SDI supports staff development in providing a framework and language in which we can identify and evaluate what motivates us as individuals and how our priorities change in the face of opposition or conflict. SDI is easy to use and interpret leading to effective and practical application for use in the workplace.
c2a learning can help to strengthen relationships and build strong teams to effect improvement within schools and academies. Through our Belbin accreditation, we are well placed to help you understand Belbin Theory and apply it to the workplace. Belbin Team Role Theory was developed in the 1970s by Dr Meredith Belbin and his research team at Henley Management College; the theory is used in thousands of organisations across the world today. Schools and academies can benefit from departments, working parties or whole staff taking part in Belbin training to build successful teams.
Assessment for Learning (AfL) is a key instrument in improving learning and teaching, raising whole school achievement and attainment and equipping learners with the necessary tools to manage their own learning. We are able to draw upon our knowledge and expertise to offer practical support to schools in embedding AfL within learning and teaching strategies.
Attracting the right staff is one of the greatest challenges facing schools today. Our team are able to assist with all aspects of recruiting permanent and interim members of staff. We can offer guidance and support on a range of recruitment issues.
Increasing numbers of schools, organisations and individuals recognise the value of coaching and mentoring in the development of performance and in helping individuals to meet challenges head on; allowing them to build capacity in themselves and their organisation. Today's leader needs to develop skills that motivate individuals and teams to excel - and key among these skills is coaching and mentoring. These can be powerful and enabling tools for development and performance. Developing a coaching and mentoring culture can support staff retention; workforce development, conflict resolution and change management. These services offer a vehicle for analysis, reflection and action that ultimately enables the individual to achieve success. We are accredited through the Charted Management Institute (CMI) to work with individuals or groups as required.
We have worked with whole school personnel, departments, individuals and senior leadership teams to bring about whole school improvement, transformation and change. We offer a wide selection of school-specific, in-school training and development services, whether it be for your next INSET day training, leadership training or one to one development and coaching packages.
We have extensive experience of working with schools, principals and governors on the journey to becoming an academy. We offer schools access to an experienced team who can provide valuable advice and guidance in achieving academy status including support with; preparing documentation to become an Academy; visioning, Academy organisation; Bid Writing; Supporting Academy organisation; curriculum design and innovation; in-service training and development.
